Interior Concepts Furnishes New Holland, MI Call Center Slated to Create Hundreds of Jobs

By: Jennifer WaySpring Lake, MI (Sept. 7, 2010) – Call center furniture manufacturer, Interior Concepts, was selected to furnish the new NOVO 1 site located in Holland, MI. NOVO 1, Texas-based provider of inbound and outbound customer interaction solutions, has opened a new 37,000 square-foot facility in Holland. NOVO 1 will hire 300 personnel over the next few years.
Commenting on the Holland, MI location Mary Murcott, CEO of NOVO 1 said, “Holland and its surrounding area have a dynamic workforce. The new facility allows us to respond to new opportunities in the Midwest market while creating more jobs in the U.S.”
Interior Concepts furnishes call centers throughout North America and other nearshore countries. Furnishing a site so close to their corporate headquarters was particularly exciting. Company president, David Kendrick expressed his enthusiasm, “We were thrilled that NOVO 1 chose Interior Concepts to furnish their center. We were able to provide value through our specialized call center furniture solutions. It was great to furnish a call center that will be hiring from our local Michigan communities.”
An added benefit to working with Interior Concepts for NOVO 1 was the customized workstations that feature a locking chase system that physically secures customer service representative computers from access by agents. This makes it difficult for anyone other than IT to access the computers. Since NOVO 1 works with clients that require data sensitivity, this feature added another level to their already impressive security measures.
Interior Concepts utilized their award winning call center furniture expertise to design a site that is ready for employees now and is designed to accommodate more workers as they are hired. Interior designer, Mary Kaye from Details & Design, worked with Interior Concepts to coordinate the interior of the building and the furniture with complementary materials and color schemes.
The site was made possible due in part due to assistance from a $1 million Community Development Block Grant, provided through the state of Michigan, which funded road and other infrastructure work. NOVO 1 invested $2 million into the site, bringing state-of-the-art telecommunications and technology.
